Frequently asked questions

Direct answers about static QR codes, dynamic short links, WiFi and UPI codes, and your QR.com.vc account. For step-by-step tutorials, see our guides.

What is the difference between static and dynamic QR codes?

A static QR code embeds the data directly (URL, WiFi password, contact, etc.) in the image. Once printed, it cannot change. A dynamic QR code encodes a short link on qr.com.vc (for example qr.com.vc/abc12). You can change where that link redirects anytime in your dashboard, and every scan is logged with device and location analytics.

How do dynamic QR codes work?

You create a dynamic QR in your dashboard and we assign a short code like abc12. The printed QR points to qr.com.vc/abc12. When someone scans, we redirect to your chosen destination and log the scan. If you change the destination in your dashboard, the same printed QR works with the new link — no reprinting needed.

Do I need an account for static QR codes?

No. You can generate unlimited static QR codes on the homepage without signing in. Download PNG or SVG instantly.

How many dynamic QR codes can I create for free?

Free accounts get 5 active dynamic QR codes and 1,000 total scans per month across all codes. Paid plans offer more dynamic codes, unlimited scans, and longer analytics retention.

How do I sign in?

Use an email magic link (we send a one-time link to your inbox) or continue with Google. No password is required.

What file formats can I download?

Static QR codes can be downloaded as PNG (for screens and print) or SVG (scalable vector for professional printing). Dynamic QR codes can be downloaded as PNG from your dashboard.

How do I create a WiFi QR code?

On the homepage generator, select WiFi as the type, enter your network name (SSID), password, and encryption type (WPA/WPA2 or WEP). Generate the code and print it — guests scan once to join without typing the password.

Yes. Choose the UPI type, enter your VPA (for example name@upi), payee name, and optionally a fixed amount. Customers scan with PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, or any UPI app to pay.

What is a vCard QR code?

A vCard QR code stores contact details (name, phone, email, company) so one scan saves you to the scanner's phone contacts. Use it on business cards, event badges, and networking materials.
